MAPS : The Goethe-Zertifikat A2: Fit in Deutsch 2

The Goethe-Zertifikat A2: Fit in Deutsch 2 is a German exam for children and young people between 12 and 16 years of age. It certifies that candidates have acquired very basic language skills and corresponds to the second level (A2) on the six-level scale of competence laid down in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This year our 14 students appeared for this exam and are ready to achieve their goal.

MAPS : NAMASTE DEUTSCHLAND

Namaste Deutschland is an annual German event,which is organised by " Max Mueller Bhavan" every year. This year our 35 students got an opportunity to explore it. Participanting in NAMASTE DEUTSCHLAND was a great exposure to the German world (Deutsche Welt). Different competetions and workshops were held besides the stalls of different schools. The theme of the day was *Sports*. Our students also got a chance to decorate the stall on " Ice skating". On our stall, we made students to play interesting German games.

Utkarsh from class XA made our school proud by winning second prize in chess competition.  

Kreativ 2019

An inter school event "Kreativ 2019" held on 19.08.2019 at DL DAV Model school, Pitampura.There were different events like Modeschau, T-shirt Painting ,Deutsche Küche and  Graffiti in which 8 Students from Maps have enthusiastically participated and showcased their talent. 

"Go to Goethe- Spielzeit Edition"

On 22 July 2019 The Educational Services Department (BKD) conducted the monthly event for class X German learners from Delhi / NCR to "Go to Goethe- Spielzeit Edition" today. 5 Students from MAPS have participated in this event with full enthusiasm!  The students have learnt to explore more about Germany, German and Germans. The activity was the "Spielzeit - Let's Play the german way".

Kaath: A Theater Piece

A Theater piece was organised by Raghubir Singh Junior Modern School on 8.05.2019 for the young audience. 15 German learners of class 5 from MAPS had taken part in it. It was a playful exploration of wood in different shapes, sizes, and various sounds. The artists created different figures and creatures, objects and tools with the help of wood. It was a great excursion for the young learners.

German inter school competition

An Inter-school event was organised " Lingua Fiesta-Beyond Borders" was organised on

26.05.2019 for German and French learners by Cambridge School, Noida. 10 Students from

MAPS had participated in the competition. In " Wer bin ich" competition Nipun of Class VI had

confidently delivered his speech. In the Graffiti Making Competition , Tanish Tomar and Shreya of

class VII had shown their excellence. In the Euphony(Group song) students from

class VIii beautifully presented a song with the help of props and musical instruments. The

event was a great cultural exposure for the students

German Concert

Music is a thing which can bring all the people around the world together. Listening to songs can actually bring fluency in any language. Last week our German Language learners got an opportunity to attend  a music concert by the German music Band group "Lebensmusiker" literal meaning Life musicians.  The five "life musicians" were between 22 and 60, came from different musical directions and played handmade, life-affirming pop with German lyrics. This concert has given  the German learners an exposure to the German Music culture.
